Certificate Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026. Rules governing the issuance, verification, and authenticity of our certificates.

Certificate Policy

Just Internship issues certificates of completion and letters of recommendation to students who successfully fulfill all academic and project requirements of our virtual internships. This policy details the rules, verification standards, and conditions surrounding these documents.

1. Conditions for Issuance

Certificates are not distributed automatically upon registration or payment. To qualify for a Certificate of Completion, you must:

  • Complete all mandatory project tasks within the specified timeline (typically 7–10 days).
  • Submit valid project files (e.g. GitHub repository link, live preview URL) that meet the project requirements.
  • Pass the project evaluation conducted by our system and reviewers (meaning the project compiles and implements the basic specifications).
  • Adhere to our Academic Integrity Policy. Plagiarized submissions will be rejected.

2. Verification & Authenticity System

To ensure the credibility of our credentials and support students in their job search, we maintain a secure public verification system:

  • Unique Certificate ID: Every certificate is stamped with a unique alphanumeric ID (e.g., JI-2026-XXXXXX).
  • QR Code: A secure QR code is embedded on the certificate, which links directly to our verification page.
  • Public Verification Portal: Employers and recruiters can verify the legitimacy of your certificate by entering the ID on our Verify Certificate portal. The portal displays the recipient's name, internship domain, completion date, skills acquired, and project preview.

3. Letter of Recommendation (LOR) Eligibility

Outstanding students who submit high-quality projects (exceeding basic criteria with clean code, detailed documentation, or extra features) may be awarded a Letter of Recommendation (LOR) signed by our internship coordinator. LORs are issued at the sole discretion of our evaluation team.

4. Prohibited Activities

To protect the integrity of the platform, the following actions are strictly prohibited and constitute a breach of this policy:

  • Falsifying or altering details on a Just Internship certificate (such as name, date, or track).
  • Displaying a certificate with a forged verification URL or QR code.
  • Using another student's certificate or sharing verification links as one's own.

Any user found altering or fabricating certificates will have their account immediately suspended, all previously issued certificates invalidated, and may face legal action for credential forgery.

5. Revocation of Certificates

We reserve the right to revoke an issued certificate and remove it from our verification database if:

  • It is discovered that the project submission was plagiarized or violated academic integrity rules.
  • The associated payment pass has been charged back or disputed.
  • The student engaged in malicious or abusive behavior towards other members of the community.
